Mr. Roshan, a talented athlete started athletics professionally at the age of 9 and has marked his position with the remarkable performances over the years. He initially started his training with Mr.Sunil in Yuva Club, Jayanagar. At the age of 10 he was stated as the record holder in Karnataka and the fastest runner in 400mts clocking 1.06 secs and 100mts clocking 14.02 secs in KPMG meet. He started his training with Late Mr. Anand Shetty in Bangalore Sports Club. At the age of 18 he joined the MEG (Madras Engineering Group) and been a part of it for 2 years under the guidance of Coach Capt. C. Muralidharan.
In 25th National Junior Athletic Championship, Bronze medalist in 1000mts Medley relay, He won gold medal in world athletics Day meet in 400mts and 800mts, In 21 “Karnataka State Junior and Senior Athletic Championship” held in 2009. He won the silver Medal for 400mts and bronze for 200mts. Roshan won gold medal in 400mts and 800mts University and school level meet. He has participated in the Junior Asian Grand Prix in the year 2006.
Roshan has been a champion in 400mts and 4X400mts relay at the Dasara Sports Meet for several years. He has been awarded as the best sports man for the year 2001 and 2002 from Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust. At 20 he experienced injury and then after he had to take break from his profession. He was deeply involved in the game for 10 years. Meanwhile he’s daily routine was fitness to overcome the injury, Roshan has represented India at the Asian Youth Para Games 2017 held in Dubai as a guide runner with Radha V. a visually impaired athlete and has made India proud by winning 3 silver medals in 400mts, 800mts and 1500mts.
Later in 2015, he owns an athletic and fitness center by name Indian Athletic Academy renowned by International and National Athletes and a well qualified staff. He is very keen on upbringing the future of athletics and it’s his ambition of training young and talented athletes to represent India in National and International level by winning gold and making the nation proud. In recent years he has produced many state and national medalists. Now it’s time to get bigger and his only goal is to produce an Olympian in coming years.
