Mr. Roshan, a talented athlete, started athletics professionally at the age of 9 and marked his position with remarkable performances over the years. He initially started his training with Mr.Sunil in Yuba Club, Jayanagar. At the age of 10, Mr. Roshan held the state record of Karnataka in 100m and 400m with a record timing of 14.02 seconds and 51.06 seconds respectively in KPMG meet held at Sri Kanteerava Stadium in the year (….).
He started his training with The Late Mr. Anand Shetty by representing Bangalore Sports Club. At the age of 18, Mr. Roshan joined the MEG (Madras Engineering Group) and was a part of it for 2 years under the guidance of Captain C.Muralidharan.
In 25th National Junior Athletics Championship, Mr. Roshan took the podium as the bronze medalist in 1000m medley relay. He won gold medal in World Athletics Day meet in 400m and 800m. In 21st Karnataka State Junior and Senior Athletics Championship that was held in 2009, he won a silver medal in 400m and a bronze medal in 200m. Mr. Roshan won the gold medal in 400m and 800m at the University and school level meet. Mr. Roshan has participated in junior Asian Grand Prix, 2006.
Mr. Roshan was a champion runner in 400m and 4X400m relay at the Dassara Sports Meet for several years. He was awarded the best sportsman for the year 2001 and 2002 from Mahatma Gandhi Vidyapeetha Trust. At 20, Mr. Roshan experienced an injury after which he had undergo rehabilitation, and soon halted his running career. He was deeply involved in the sport for 10 years. Meanwhile Mr. Roshan focused on strength and conditioning for his recovery. Post a successful healing season, Mr. Roshan has represented India at the Asian Youth Para Games, Dubai 2017, as a guiderunner with Radha.V, a visually impaired athlete and made India proud by winning 3 silver medals in 400m, 800m and 1500m. Mr. Roshan has represented India in the Asian Para Games, Jakarta 2018, as the athletic coach. Mr. Roshan is a Kempegowda Awardee of 2018 for his excellent participation and involvement in the sport.
In 2015, Mr. Roshan designed and started an athletic and fitness centre, Indian Athletic Academy (IAA). IAA comprises of renowned by International and National Athletes and a well-qualified staff that act asa pillar of IAA and its mission. He is very keen on upbringing the future of athletics and it's his personal ambition to train young and talented athletes to represent India in at the International level and also to deliver a gold medal worthy performance and make the nation proud. In recent years Mr. Roshan has produced plethora of state, national and international medalists. Now it's time to expand the mission and ambition of IAA. To this day, Mr. Roshan strives to produce olympians for the bright future of the sport and our country.
